Anti-Depressants

posted 26th Nov
I was put on Prozac about 6 weeks ago. I really felt like it worked wonderfully at first. It's both for depression and fibromyalgia.

I have found however as time goes on that it doesn't seem to work as well as it did. This is odd because I know it is supposed to take a while to get the "full effect" but it honestly seemed to work the best the first few weeks.

It is still helping a lot, don't get me wrong. I forgot to take it one day and my fibro was horrible (which is weird because I wouldn't think it would do that, but I was in a lot of pain which was what made me realize I missed my pill). However, I've noticed it hasn't worked nearly as well in the last two weeks or so.

Does this sound like maybe I need to talk to my Dr about adjusting the dosage? I'm on a very low dose I know. Maybe it was just psychosomatic that it helped so much at first?

Thanks!

They should adjust the dosage every few weeks until they get you to the right level.

Thanks. I have an appointment with her next week (she wanted to see me in 6 weeks to see how it was working). I'll ask her about upping the dosage perhaps.
