I didn't have a boy, I had two girls and I just picked their names because I liked them.

it was just a name that seemed right, none of my kids' names were my favorite names but they were just the ones that "stuck" if that makes sense?

My baby boy is due in 2 weeks and he still does not have a name. My DH and I can not agree on anything. Good luck.

It makes sense. Nothing I've picked has stuck though.   I like them for a couple of weeks and then trash them.

I picked the first names because I heard them & it just clicked & also use family middles names.

I made a list and SO made a list and then we crossed things off till we narrowed it down.

With my older daughter, I had her first name picked before I got pregnant... her bio-bastard picked out (and butchered) her middle name.

Ive always liked biblical names. So i just looked at my favorite characters of the Bible and if I thought it sounded like a strong name that was also not that common. if i have more sons Ill probably name them Emmanuel James and Benjamin Thomas. My 2nd and 3rd choices for my son I had picked out for my son

yep, same with me.

When naming both I picked a name that I liked when found out they were girls then with the first I flip flopped until finally going back to the original name. Then with be second I loved the name couldn't figure out the order to put it. Then finally thought it flowed better the way I did it

I was looking at meanings and origins and making lists...

Then I scratched that because BD didn't like any.

Then I looked at meanings and origins and picked names I thought he'd like. DD's was the first name I said on my list, and he said, "That one." And that was it.

say the name at random times in different tones and see if it "fits" if it is something that you think sounds good and you like then name your LO that. For my children their 1st name is just ones that I liked and their middle names are from their grandparents.
