diy haircut

so i am in need of a trim badly my hair is so dead at the ends
but i hate going to the salon because they always cut more than what i want
so im going to attempt to do it myself today
wondering of any moms have tips you can offer me  
id really appreciate it

ya i found a technique i liked n looked pretty easy n it was wit long hair a lot of them i found had to deal wit short...

I put moms hair into a ponytail to cut it once... DON'T DO THAT- there's my tip for ya   hubby fixed it before the salon touched it n were impressed w his work lol

i have an aunt that does that but her hair is really short n u cant tell if it came out right or not cus she doesnt ever fix it up or anything

I do mine a lot.. but it's just a lot of trial and error.. usually more error :/ and I can never stop at just a trim. if I cut my hair I'm choppin a lot off...

lol ive done it befor
n all i did was brush all my hair over the sink and cut lol eventually when i straightened it people could tell it was really bad lol

Idk maybe I did it wrong but it wasn't even for crap lol she has super thick wavy/curly hair that's a bitch to cut or color! But when I brushed it out after the cut it was all over the place

oh man thats how my hair is but super long ive been tempted to chop it all off but i always regret it thats y i dnt wanna go to the shop cus they always cut more than what you want them to i rather mess up at home for free than pay n not get what i want

I've cut my own hair for well over a year now since the salon really cut too much off! I use this video, it's pretty much how my hair turns out

I use a disposable razors to trim my hair, it comes out perfect every time! I knw it sounds weird but I saw it on a youtube video, just look up how to trim/layer ends with a disposable razor...I use it to create a layered look at the ends so there is no bulk and its wispy and falls perfect every time and there is n harsh lines or gaps from the scissors either
