re: diy haircut

I always cut mine myself. In fact I just cut off 8 inches three days ago (I have been growing it out since my last pregnancy).

I find the best way to go is part hair down center. Section and snip left and right sections side by side. Bring them in to your center to check and make sure they are the same length. Gently angle down of you want an angle, or don't of you want it straight.

Once you have got it even if you want more body and texture I always grab a chunk and mo e my fingers down to the last inch. I cut in line with my hair, not against the grain. This is adds such good texture.

If you want layers this is way too complicated to explain. Definitely YouTube it.

To ensure straightness always comb and hold hair between flat outstretched fingers to hold tight then cut.
