vent read if you want

I swear guys just piss me off. My kids father has a 101 fever so he has to go to the emergency room and take a few days of off work meanwhile im here by myself with a sick toddler and an almost 3 month old baby my toddler had an almost 102 fever today i finally got it down to 99.9 but it keeps going back up and my lo is so cranky and of course im starting to get sick. But of course its my job as the permanent caregiver and the mom to take care of them all day while he stays at home in bed all day everyday and doesnt have to help me with them or buy them diapers or anything cause he has a slight fever and is in the emergency room. he just pisses me off so badly sometimes and he has no idea what it takes to be a parent

Sounds like you are just over whelmed. He is sick too though. And 99% of the time sick babies just want their mommies to cuddle with and take care of them. Take a deep breath and just get through it. That is pretty much all you can do. I never once tried to get my oldest sons father to help me when my oldest was sick or even when I was sick. I remember holding my screaming child while barfing in the toilet because I had the flu. Thankfully my mom came and got my child from me (we were in the same house visiting family at the time lol). Anyway, is there anyone who is willing to help you for a bit so you can relax for a moment?

yea i feel like hell but i still have to take care of thm both which i understand is the job as there mom plus i still have to go to work cause i cant afford to take off. He is just such a baby at some things and he goes to the emergency room for everything that he thinks is wrong with him.

I agree. A 101 fever isn't bad enough to not help you out. You do need help, especially if you are getting sick as well. Hang in there mama.

Well, then why are you taking care of him? Just don't.
All of that is part of being a single parent. I take care of my DD when she's ick even if I'm sick. It's just how it goes, sorry.

Are you sick? Because if you're not what's the deal? This is normal in my house, if one of us is sick the other takes care of everything else.
