Ranting.

For a little back story, DH and I have been remodeling a trailer for the past year, but since DH got a DUI last weekend we've decided not to move into the trailer because he feels moving to our hometown and the people there would only influence him to drink (he's going to AA and trying to quit.) So with that being said, we've put the place on the market. The neighbor wanted to buy it, therefore we went and got things ready to lease this BEAUTIFUL home (that we wouldn't have to do anything too;) then the neighbor fell thru, meaning that we couldn't get the home.

Fast forward to this week. We've had many people looking at the property, therefore we start looking for other places. We found this little log cabin, in a nice quiet subdivision.(We could afford this place without anyone buying the trailer.) It needs some work, but just minor things like new floors, painting, new hardware. Simple. Well my mother just informed me that her and my dad can't help us, even though they helped my brother fix his house up a few years ago (and his house is bigger then this one.) I know I sound like a little whiney bitch but I feel like if you do something for one child you should do it for the other.

What if you buy land and move the trailer?

Maybe your parents aren't financially able to... You can't fault them for that.

The things my parents do for my brother that they would never do for me amazes me. I just say screw it and I'll find a way to do it. Thats how I feel too. Treat them equal.

It cannot be moved. It's concreted to the ground. And I don't mean financially; I mean coming over to paint a few walls!!!

I told her don't worry about it; that DH and I would do it all; then she went on about how long it took us to remodel the trailer. We had to replace EVERYTHING in the trailer. We would only have to do minor things with this.

Thats good. I can't wait to have my own place.

Lol homes with concrete slabs can be moved. You just have to contact a house moving company. Either way, just a suggestion.

Even if we wanted to move it, it has real drywall on the walls not the trailer wall smurf so the drywall will crack. And we have a tile shower, there would be a possibility that the tiles would fall off on the move. It would be about an hour drive/move.
