women died of a cesarean hemorrage in my town last week

posted 26th Nov
The first time we hear anything like that happening in our small town. I delivered my bbygirl in that same hospital but vaginally and lost a lot of blood, I got 2 pints of blood because my bp was skyrocketing. I am scared really scared since now I am almost 7 wks pregnant, and hope not to have a csarean. This women was from mexico she was 30yrs old and left nwborn twins orphan   it breaks my heart. My mom told me about it this morning it happened less than a week ago, she said you better eat right and take your prenatals if you don't want something like that happening. Scared the smurf out of me but I assume this hemorrage can be a clinical negligence, a blood clotting disorder or such. Any opinions on this?

Eating right and taking prenatals is not going to help avoid a c-section

It's not necessarily the hospital's fault. There was a member on here do died from c-section complications. It's sad.

Eating right and taking prenatals has nothing to do with the need for a csection, or the hemorrhage. Some people just bleed more. If you already know you bleed more last time I'd discuss that with your doctor this time. Not just jump to conclusions honestly.

how would a blood clotting disorder be the hospital's fault?? Women die during childbirth. Doesn't mean anyone is to blame.

She didn't mean avoiding c-section she meant lossing to much blood and having my body not respond   like the women who died. But I think that was a whole different problem.

It still won't matter.

Eating right and prenatals wont stop you from having a c-section, I did everything right with my DD and I still had a c-section but anywho Hemmoraging can happen via c-section and vaginal deliveries its all about what are bodys can do nothing a hospital can do to stop it unless they catch it early and give you meds but its def. not their fault she died.

I've had to have blood transfusions after birth. Eating right and taking vitamins will not avoid that.

I don't blame anyone I just said in the news they argued (the parents) that se was lgt in thesurgery room after the c-section mins later they found out she was having a hemorrage but it was too late. True or not I am saying its sad and scary I am not blaming anyone

Umm, what
" she said you better eat right and take your prenatals if you don't want something like that happening"

Sorry but, hahahahahahahahaha.

Anyway, she had twins. I imagine this wasn't a routine section but I'm speculating. Like someone else said, death happens during child birth. Unfortunately   Unless this hospital is known for negligence such as records of this then I don't think you have anything to worry about (personally).

Thats what I tried to explain to my mom. With my daughter I gined the right amount of weight Had my iron levels checked and monitored and still I lost too much blood got high bp after and had to get 2 pints of blood soo I can just hope this goes better. They did an episiotomy and used the vacum with me so I think that caused more blood loss.
