Is the mirena iud really that bad?

Ive been reading so amny crazy things about it and not sure what to do:/

It smurfing sucks.

Depends on your body. Some people love it, some people don't. Its hormonal so if I had it, I would probably hate it.

I've had it since June 09. I love it.
It seems to be a love/hate thing. You either love it or hate it.

i got it feb 09 and had it taken out july 11 cuz it caused me to have cysts all the time

I SmUrfING LOVE MIRENA.

I have had it for years and had it removed 3 weeks ago to TTC. I will be getting another one after my next baby!

I have only heard terrible things about it and 3 friends have had it removed. I think I have even seen something on TV about it that if it did "this, that" you can sue or something like that.

My cousin just recently got pregnant on hers. She had to go to the hospital to get it taken out, and she's hoping she doesn't miscarry.

HATED IT! Crazy mood swings, weight gain and I ended up with PID.

I like mine but it's not for everyone.

Oh my sorry hope it doesnt turn out that way but i was just told that if you do get prego with it that it could cause that which is very scary

My OB has been giving the Mirena brand for 15 years and has seen 2 pregnancies. 1 girl hadn't been in for her yearly in 2 years so she didn't find out it dislodged. The other girl had it in for 7 years.

Yeah. I mean no birth control is 100%. But, still I feel bad for her. She isn't in a good situation to be having more kids.

Yeah ive never had much of an issue with it that i know of but then again im not much of a going to the doctor person either and the best part is ive never had a monthly since ive gotten it put in and my 5yrs will be up feb 2013 but ive been reading so many crazy things about it
