Thats whats gots me worried i saw something on tv too and then started reading everyone elses bad issues with it.

It really depends on how your body reacts with it. I've had Mirena since August of 09 and haven't had any issues *knock on wood* I also lost over 60lbs while on it (inability to lose weight seems to be a problem for some people)

I saw that too, the thing is if you watch enough local television channels you'll see commercials like that about all kinds of birth control. I know I've seen some about the pill and Nuva ring. They do warn you that the things listed on those commercials are "rare side effects" though.

True but most havent had an issue until having it removed and what sucks it knowing it could keep you from having anymore kids

I only know one person IRL who had Mirena, she had it taken out to TTC and now ha a 1.5 year old baby boy

NinaBonita all I can say is that you really don't know till you try it. Its all too scary for me but it could be good for you then it couldn't, you won't really know what it'll do to YOU till you try.

I had mine in for a month and a Hal and gained 10 lbs working out and eating right and Ive been stuck at this weight since then no matte what I did.

Just as any other birth control it all depends on your body and hormones.

I really want to get the mirena, since the patch and shot didnt work good for me.

Well im not going to wait until Feb to get it taken out i just hope it hasnt messed me up any cause i would like to have one more baby:/
