State medical and Food stamps

So I reapplied with the state to get medical for my kids and food stamps as I'm not working at the moment. They approved us for food and gave me medical for my son (age 7), but they didn't give medical to my daughter (almost 8 months old). I have no clue why the would give it to one of my kids and not the other. Has this ever happened to anyone else? I'm going into the office tomorrow morning to find out why and try to get her on medical.

I've never heard of that. They must have made a mistake.

That's weird definately go in and ask what's the reason. I k ow my friends son wasn't accepted cuz his dad had some sort of medical or something like that at work even tho they are not together they didn't give her son medical cuz of that

I hope so, but on the paper they sent it list my name, SO name, DS name, and DD name under reciving food assistance, but only DS name was listed under aproved for health for kids.

Sometimes if they don't have the same father but you are still with the father of the second child they will approve one but not the other

All mt medicaid papers say that my kids are approved but I was denied. Then when I went to apply when I was pregnant I found out that I had civerage all along, it was a computer error.

My son has a different father and in his child support order he is supposd to give my son medical from his work if he can get it for 20 a month. His job doesn't offer him medical so he doesn't have it for my son. My SO (DD father) doesn't get medical from his job either as he is only part time and a full time student. Ugh.. I hope they will approve her or I'm not sure how we will get her medical.

I didn't apply for me or SO to get medical just the kids. I hope it was an error.

Just noticed u are in wa too so that makes sense since this happend to me. I have medical through the state for my first 3 kids but not my 4th because I am still with the father. In wa they will count you SO's income against you and any children you have together, but they won't count it against your other child

I put in his income as it is our only income at the moment. He is going to school full time and only working part time and gets no medical offered at work so I thought because of that and the fact that we are approved for food that both of the kids could get medical. It will suck if she can't. What do you do for medical for your 4th kid? Just in case they wont give it to her I will need to find something.

I had medical through my work that I added him on. Well I would think that the income would be low enough to be approved then? I would call them tomorrow and ask, maybe they calculated something wrong?

That is what I was assuming.. That if SO and I were approved for food than that ment his income was low enough to get her medical. He doesn't get medical from work so I am hoping I can get this worked out tomorrow when I go into the office.

I'm not any help at all but I wanted to say good luck. That must be terrifying.
