Idk what to do:(

My DH and I haven't had sex in 5 weeks! Our relationship seems more like a friendship or maybe even roommates now. DH claims that he thinks something's medically wrong because he wants to have sex but he can't get it up. He hasn't been to a doctor but every time I tell him he needs to he agrees. Idk what to do. Sex was such a great part of our marriage and I feel like it really kept us close. Now we argue all the time. I honestly don't know what to do! I Need to have sex with him! Things are seriously depressing now. I feel really
selfish but not having sex is really screwing up our marriage. What should I do?

Make him see a doctor. Get him to relax a bit. Stress can cause problems like that. Don't pressure him. It'll just stress him out more.

Tell him for the sake of your relationship he needs to see a doctor and address the problem, there could be a more serious underlying cause

Sometimes the pressure of trying to get it up can actually make it not work. Like everyone else said he should take to a doctor.

If I pressure SO into sex... he can't get it up. Or it'll go limp halfway through.

He's a bigger guy.. so I think his stamina or whatever is low due to his weight, but he WANTS to have sex... his body just won't let him sometimes.

I've found that trying to surprise him with it works better. Because without him feeling pressured, he really gets into it and he ends up getting it up and keeping it up.

He has a really stressful job but I don't think that's it. He's had the same job for years.

He said that he will go into urgent care on Tuesday. He's been telling we that for at least 3 weeks though

SO has had the same job for 4 years and only recently started having problems getting it up. Your SO can still get very stressed, even though the work place is the same. Support him! Don't get irritated because it'll just make him stress even more. Find new ways to please each other and spice things up until he can see a doctor.

I know I honestly don't even try anymore because I don't want to be let down. Last time we tried to have sex I asked him if he even found me attractive anymore. He said yes and told me that I wasn't helping.
I just want my DH back to normal!!!

This sounds 100% like my SO. And I kept getting frustrated with him... because I felt stupid when I would try, and he'd shoot me down. I felt ugly... unwanted.


That is not the case at all! He loves you, and he obviously cares about pleasing you or he wouldn't be talking about going to a doctor. Give it time. Buy a toy and wait it out ;)
