Why is leaving not an option?

I couldn't handle that and there is no excuse for the way he is acting. My husband has come home after 10 hours of chipping concrete, along with 4 hours of driving to and from work and still gave DS a bath, read to him, put him to bed, and did the dishes after dinner.

Of course I don't expect that of him, but seriously there isn't any excuse for that bullsmurf. I'm really sorry, mama. But, I'd be looking for a way out. It seems as though his lack of effort is only causing more stress for you.

Well if I were to leave him, I'd be carless. So I've been applying to jobs somewhat close to my apartment just untill I can afford a car and get a better job. So about 10 places? I have zero work experience so in guessing that is coming into play. Sucks.

I wish my SO was like that   he has his moments of being a really decent dad, but when I sit down and think about it, 80% of the time he's not even being a dad:/
He no longer takes my threats of leaving seriously because he knows I probably won't. And he's somewhat right, I have nothin without him and it sucks.

You could look up places in your area that provide job training.

I have literally no family here. My mom died 2 years ago and my dad lives in Mexico. Other family lives out of state.
I know my life would be different if my mom were still alive. She was a single mom and would be all for helping me out

I've done that briefly. I was looking into CNA actually! I just don't know if I can stay with him until January when the classes start:/ I guess that's like my only option though..

I can imagine that is hard. It would be one thing if my husband wasn't willing to be a "good" husband, but if he didn't show much interest in being a father to our son it would break my heart.

If I were you I'd continue to look for work, tuck away money, and keep looking for housing options. Even if, some how, your husband wises up it is always good to have a safety net. I'm really sorry that your daughter and you are going through this.

Well I'd still get on the housing lists first since those could take awhile. Bit that sucks, I'm sorry   will you get any money from tax return? & it is harder getting a job w/ little to no experience, most places won't hire you except fast food, which is what I did for awhile

Thanks for your input! I just feel ...trapped. I try to act like everything is fine and I can make it work but tonight just topped it off for me and I had to vent.

Will I get some for having a kid and working like 3 months you think? Lol I did a minimum wage job at my friends restraunt when I was pregnant for a bit. Other than that I haven't worked so idk if I'd get much back..

Maybe a good idea to start looking more into it, and find any one who you know you can trust to watch your child. It may be hard but it would be well worth the effort. Go to your local FSD they may be able to give you a lot of information on where to go and places that have low child care fees. I am sorry I can't help more myself but I know with the right help you can get things figured out
