The hcg diet. Illegal? Scam?
posted 26th Nov
A dr friend did some research and found this link
http://www.fda.gov/forconsumers/consumerupdates/ucm281333.htm
Just thought I'd pass it on.
Im going to assume the 500 caleries a day is the answer behind the weightloss, not drops. We dipped a pregnancy test in the drops (since its hcg..) the test was negative. Do the drops even contain hcg? Someone said to contain hcg it would have to have ground up placenta. Placenta of what, sheep? Pigs? Cows? rats? Humans?

Your thoughts?

I think its a scam. Your body goes into shock eventually and of course you're going to lose weight.

It's illegal and you're basically starving yourself.

Idk but a friend did it. We all told her it was stupid and DANGEROUS! Luckily, she is not one to stick to a diet. lol.

It didn't seem that well known how bad it is. I did a topic search and read a few quick recent topics people had posted about it. No one said anything bad just ZZZOOOMMMGGG what an awesome diet!
The drops go for over $100 here for a 26day plan. Shocking.

One of the WORST diets you can ever attempt. #1 The real HCG can no longer be sold. What you find in the stores now is synthetic #2. Starving your body only puts it into starvation mode. You will gain all the weight back if not more. #3. What you really need is a lifestyle change. Journal what you eat, how much and when. Get into an exercise routine and start from there. You will be suprised what you eat.

Every time I questioned the saftey effectivness, contents Etc, she'd block my posts.
