Bedtime disaster

My kid has spent the last two.hours fighting bed. How the hell can I get him to.go.to sleep? I hate this smurf. He's nearly three, is it just a phase? Tia

tonight i told mine santa was watching him so he better listen and goto sleep. im so bad

fighting it how? like, what is he doing?

i would just make sure he has his teeth brushed, story read, and put him in bed and whatever and tell him it's time to sleep. then leave the room. if he cries, ignore it. idk. that's my strategy. lol

Screaming, crying, begging for his daddy, getting up and opening the door. Begging for tv. I know he's tired buy he just won't sleep. I just can't handle him today.

And then what? Let him scream until he passes out?

idk. i guess. he's doing it so that you will give in to him. i'm not saying he is a bad kid, but that is what kids do. i doubt he is going to pass out and die or anything. but he just needs to be told what the deal is and what his role in all of this is. his responsibility right now is to go to bed. if someone is right there watching him have a fit and saying, "but you need to go to bed" while he is whining, he is going to keep whining and trying to get a reaction. you know? and then he'll never go to bed.

Well he cried for ten mimutes while I kept him in the room about.how he was scared.
