weening

My son will be one on December 6th and i been giving him like 6 to 8 oz of milk a day to get him used to drinking it. he seems to be doing fine it dont make his stomach upset or anything.. i was just wondering if i should wait until the 6th to completely stop giving formula or can i stop now since its only a couple weeks away?

I would have waited to get the clear from a doctor first.

Does he eat other foods too besides just formula?

my daughter was only 10 months when she stopped drinking formula. she refused to drink it at all. and her doctor told me it was fine as long as she continued to gain weight.

Yea he gets other foods ever since i let him eat real food on thanksgiving he dont want nothing mashed anymore hes been wanting real stuff he can chew

My daughter was 13 months when I got her completely weened off formula. I mixed half formula & half regular milk & slowly reduced to amount of formula until she was drinking only regular milk. It was an easier transition for her & she didn't notice the change.

Well he needs to be eating other foods on a regular basis before he can be off the formula. Regular milk isn't going to supply everything he needs nutrition wise.

You can check with his Pedi IMO he is ready to leave formula but it needs to be checked if he is fit for it.
