Open cervix, early pregnancy?

Noticed this while having sex. I could stick my finger almost into it... of course googles got me freaked. I'm only 12 weeks..

I wouldnt be sticking anything in there, you could risk infection.

are you sure it was your cervix you were touching? i've never touched mine and when SO has during sex...it hurt so bad i cried.

Call dr tomorrow and ask bout it. I know a few women who need stitches in theirs too keep it closed til baby is ready.

eeeeek i hate when the doctor checks my cervix it hurts so bad   either that or im just a big baby..... if you're really worried about it if I were you i'd just schedule with your baby doctor and have him check your cervix for you to ease your mind  

it's common for women who've had babies to be a fingertip dilated throughout their pregnancies, simply because everything's not quite as tight as it once was, not to worry. And as long as your hands are clean there is no problem with you putting your hand/fingers in there, after all your husband sticks his penis in there which is often less clean than a freshly washed hand.

My cervix sits so low during pregnancy that sex is pretty much non-existant because it hurts so bad..,i wouldn't dare try to touch mine.
