Obviously there is no way to know for sure but I need guesses here from some ladies who know more about the whole ovulation process than me... Sorry if this is confusing...


I am not getting my hopes up for a positive test this month. I got an app on my phone to track my ovulation and my fertile weeks (no idea how accurate those things are). Anyways, for the fertile week before ovulation we got frisky every other day but we didn't on my "scheduled" ovulation date and not at all since then. In total it's been a 5 day dry spell for us and today is the last "scheduled" fertile day and we missed it.

Since we missed doing it on the ovulation day or the fertile time after that do I still have a chance on getting pregnant? The only time I think I could have would be day before ovulation but I don't know how likely it is that it could happen?

I'm only 4dpo so it's way too early to test but I don't want to get my hopes up at all if it is very unlikely. I probably won't test at all unless my AF is late again. *sigh*

I think you only actually have a 20% chance of getting pregnant each cycle if everything is normal in your body. You could have ovulated earlier than you think as well. I would say theres a chance... which isn't very specific.

It's possible to get pregnant anytime you have sex. Take a test if you miss a period. There's no way to really know "how likely" itis.

his sperm can live inside of you for up 5 days. so maybe one of his little swimmers made it and you are! good luck!

I would say a small chance bc u figure how long it takes for egg n sperm to meet up u could've still had some little swimmers lying in wait. I don't wanna give u too much hope but if u dtd a day or so before there's still a chance.

It is still likely you have a window around your most fertile day and sperm can live in your vagina 3-5 days after intercourse. I hope it happens for you

I think she was referring to the fact that you're not pregnant so you wouldn't "still be pregnan".

Thank you ladies. With my first, we never did any of this tracking bullsmurf. We just had a lot of sex and got pregnant right away. I've done some internet research but I'm still not 100% on if this phone app is at all accurate lol.

It's only my second month TTC so if it doesn't happen I'm going to keep my spirits up!

Ooohhh. Sorry bad phrasing on my part. As far as I know I'm not pregnant right now but I'm hoping there is a chance I could be.

Have you tried any ovulation tests? I bought some from the dollar store since i had never used any and had been ttc for a long time. i got pregnant the first month of using them! and you can't beat a dollar of course

In all honesty, i wouldn't track it all. You are aware of a timeframe in which you most likely ovulate, yes? I'd just stop worrying and just do the deed whenever and just let it happen

I probably will pick some of these up   I get my pregnancy tests from the dollar tree too haha.
