Possible cyst?

posted 25th Nov
Has anyone here found that they had a cyst on their ovary after getting the Mirena? Or do women get cyst just by chance?

I feel like I could have a cyst, I googled the symptoms (bad idea I know!) and I'm wondering if it could be the cause from the irregular yet constant spotting, the back pain/ovary area pain.

I know it's not my period, because this all just started happening a few weeks ago, and I've had the Mirena without any problems since Feb. I've been trying to figure out the cause to this random bleeding and its driving me crazy.

Cysts are very very common, most women get them, some just don't know it. It could definitely be a cyst and its not a big deal just go to your OB/Gyn if you're having issues that concern you. Cysts usually go away on their own.

Yep. I have quite a few of them after Mirena.

Cysts are more common on BC. Silence getting off Implanon, and then the pill I haven't had one.

Your symptoms sound similar to mine. I got them about every couple weeks, I always knew when one was coming because sex got really painful on the inside.

My usually went away within a couple days.

I've been told birth control pills actually help cysts, that has been the case with me. I have heard that IUDs can cause cysts though.
