Blood clots (TMI)

posted 25th Nov
So I have my period, just started this morning.

I always have terrible pain, bloating and I bleed a lot. I also pass a lot of blood clots. My question is, is any size of a blood clot should be cause for concern? I mean how big is too big? They seem to be huge and they are so painful to pass.

Should I be concerned or is this normal for certain women? TIA

Clots are nornal. Try drinking some more water, that's what my doctor told me to do and it helps.

Idk but if I was passing any bigger then a golf ball that were painful I'd be in the ER or calling a nurse hotline..That's just me.
I think I've heard that big and painful is NOT normal but I'm not certain..And or bleeding thru a pad an hour?

I've only ever had tiny tiny clots when on my period and when I was pp bleeding..So I'm no help.

I suppose I didn't read this fully...I know for ne personally its feels like my cervix is widening and I get cramps then pass a clot...that is when I know I need to drink more water during my period. I supppose if your concerned you can make a doctors appointment unless you develop a fever then I'd be seen immediately.

Really what does water do for it? Since I'm no longer pregnant I hardly drink water unless we have some that isn't for my son..Not drinking water often enough has never messed with my period?

It helps to thin things out I guess. I notice less clots when I chug water. Its what my doctor tokd me to do.
