this is horrible but...

i smoked pot today and i'm being induced tomorrow. do they drug test you when you give birth? if so what can happen if you test positive? i know that they can drug test you in NJ without the your concent. i feel horrible right now. i don't want my child to be taken away from me. also, how should i go about this? tell them i smoked weed?

They'll only test if given suspicion. So uh no I wouldn't say a word.

I don't think they do routine drug testing, but I could be wrong. They'll test if they have reason to believe that you were using and it had an effect on your baby. And they won't take your baby away. Women have done much worse and they get to keep their babies.

They would probably only test you if you appear under the influence.

uh yes they drugs test and will takke your baby from you!!! even here in CA if you have ur medical card CPS is nation wide and dont recognize them so they take your kids! my friend got her daughter taken for taking a medication that was prescribed to her while pregnant!!! GL

I wouldn't say anything. They'd only test if you went in high I think

when i switched OBs in the begining of my pregnancy i was still using and she drug tested me and i tested pos for thc. she said she would give me 4 weeks to get it out of my system and then i never had a problem sice. would this change their decission?

They run tests on the placenta.

wow everyone is saying no it must be super diff here cause they do a drug test when u get ur blood taken in the hospital when u get addmitted.. hmmm california must suck then and just be super strict.. sorry if i was wrong!

why the hell would you do drugs this close to delivery? they can test you and baby if they are suspicious or if baby has any signs of you using drugs. If you come back positive, CPS will most certainly become involved.

Why would you smoke pot 9 months pregnant?
