It would be incredibly expensive to drug test everyone. Here, they only do it if they have a reason. Even then, they don't take the baby away, unless it's an EXTREME case - repeat offender or something like that.

In my hospital they tested the baby's first poop (meconium) definatly don't say anything and bring it up.

they can test for any suspicion. They just have to say baby is jittery.... and check babies blood sugar. If baby is jittery with a normal blood sugar... they can test for drugs.

It must of only been you. The never did that to me when I was in labor with my first. I was only 18 weeks but they never did such thing. I didn't even have my blood taken.

you have a history of drug use in pregnancy... they will most certainly do a tox screen on baby when he/she is born.

great life choices mama. If you can't stay clean for baby while pregannt.. KNOWING they already know you're a user.... I'm sure you'll make a fantastic parent

no.. they don't. not for drugs. They do a blood test on mom, and a meconium tox screen on baby... which shows any drug use for the entire pregnancy

I've NEVER seen them take a baby for marijuana. If the baby tests positive for heroin, cocaine, etc then yes. At most for pot they would suggest drug classes and might do home visits a few times to make sure. But I've seen CPS leave children in a hotel room with no running power or water with a mom who did heroin right in front of them, because being with mom is best *rolls eyes*

If you are really worried though you could try one of those cleanse things they sell in some shops, but see if it's safe to take while pregnant first. If they do say somthing you could say you accidentally ate a special brownie on thanksgiving a family/friend brought over without warning or something. If it was just that one time that should be quite believable if you need to fib

have you read the thread? she's used int eh past...her OB is aware. and.. a meconium tox screen shows all drug use during pregnancy... because it's essentially testing the amniotic fluid that baby has ingested the entire time.
cleanser won't do any good..and likely isn't tested on pregnant women

Yikes idk...but good luck,I would of waited to smoke pot a few days after the baby was born IMO. It's going to be harder when the baby is here
