Pregnant & period?

posted 25th Nov
I haven't actually told anyone about this except for SO, of course. We have an almost 2 year old, who is so much fun right now that when I got pregnant in March we didn't keep the baby... along with money, not readyness, and other problems. I got a shot that ended the pregnancy. (I got pregnant on Nuvaring, also I was on BC when I got pregnant with our daughter) Well I went back a while later and turns out.. I'm pregnant again! The day of abortion was horrible, especially since they only gave me one Vicodin (did nothing to help). Anyways it's 6 months later and my last period has been a bit weird, as in short and light flow. I may be crazy but I definitely feel different .. Has anyone had a healthy pregnancy while still having their period in the beginning?

If you're pregnant you don't/can't have a period.

I"mconfused... Are you pregnant or not? So you had a shot in March and an abortion afew months later and now you have weird periods? Take a test if you think you're pregnant...

You CAN have bleeding during pregnancy but it's not a period.

If you're pregnant you can't have a period. You're period is your uteran wall shedding which of course can't happen during pregnancy. You can have bleeding during a healthy pregnancy but not an actual period.
And I'm confused, you're 6 months pregnant after having an abortion in march?

Not.. and yes I have had a weird period, while talking with my MIL she said I can still be pregnant and get my period because she did.. So while sitting here I thought I'd ask

you can not get your period and still be pregnant! You can have some spotting and bleeding while pregnant but it is not a period.

She's right in the sense that you CAN have bleeding during pregnancy.

I became pregnant with my daughter March of 2010 and had a period March of 2010 and she was perfectly healthy when she was born. I was surprised when I went to the doctor and found out I was a month further along than I thought I was

So you're not currently pregnant. But you are having strange periods? Call your doctor and ask them.
But no you cannot have an actually period while pregnant, other than the fist montth for some. That's how the twins with separate due dates and dates of conception happen, but it's VERY unusual. And you definitely can't have a regular period all the way trough pregnancy. you know, because you need an entact uteran wall for a pregnancy to implant on, and a period is the uteran wall shedding.

I don't really get your post but no you can't have a period while pregnant, but you can bleed around the time you should have one.
