It happens off and on. I think sometimes it happens especially when people think that something is common sense...but the common sense answer for THEM isn't the right one for whoever posted lol

People tell you the truth and you don't always like it. That's life. Your friends and family aren't always so blunt because they actually care about your feelings. Strangers don't and they are an unbiased source that will tell you the truth, no matter how blunt it comes across.

Meh. I just see it as some people refuse to give someone a rainbow enema. Basically, they're not here to say "good job" or pat you on the back when you do or say something stupid (in other words, when something is common sense and can be answered with a little thing called Google). Some here are brutally honest when the situation calls for it. Either let it roll off your back and ignore those posts (no one can see you shaking your head behind a computer screen), or move on to somewhere that's a bit more "Ignoramus Friendly".

OP you really just need to lurk more. Modding this isn't going to get you where you want to be either.

Some people do get rude from the get-go or purposely try to rile a person up but it's so easy to ignore that on the internet. If someone gets really on my nerves, I may say to myself or whoever's with me 'Wow, what a bitch' and then I just scroll past their comments or reply in a way that is calm so they have no fun and leave. A reaction is what's interesting, you know? Ultimately, though, I think a lot of people get offended too easily. :/
