Getting pregnant after d&c?

I lost my baby I was 11weeks baby died at 9 weeks I had a d&c on nov 21 my husband and I still want to have another baby we have 2 kids already. Well what I'm curious is how soon did you conceive after miscarrying and having a d&c Im so lost my doctor didn't even touch the ttc topic and I was always too distraught to ask so ya.

Most doctors suggest waiting at least one full cycle so you can get a period and they have something to base your due date off of. If you get pregnant right away and never get a period it's hard for them to determine how far along you are.

Well ya I know that I just curious on how quick or long it took people to conceive after d&c

I miscarried in July '11 and I got pregnant in Sept '11

I had one doctor recommend waiting one cycle, another say two, and still another say to wait three. We waited two cycles and got pregnant right away.

D&c in July of this yr n got preggo in aug. we were charting n keeping track so I knew my dates dr has just caught up to me lol but yeah I never got a neg hpt n it was inconvenient for the dr mostly.


ETA- oops! Had my 1st cycle in aug (4 wks after d&c exactly) then preggo in sept from it.

I'm also nervous to "actively" try cause we tried for 6 months to get pregnant with this one when my son took 2 months and daughter only 1 so I'm nervous to "try" to get pregnant cause of stress idk I'm still at loss with loosing my baby this past week

I had a miscarriage and D&C in June and then another D&C for a polypectomy in August and conceived in September.

Ours was a surprise both times but my doctor did tell me to wait 1 full cycle before trying.

I had a d&c on June 11th and conceived 2 weeks later (based on an ultrasound to determine the due date of baby) My doctor told me their was no medical reason to wait.

Did you wait the 2 weeks recommended after d&c?

I waited the two weeks, went to my follow up appointment and was healed so we started trying right away and got pregnant within the first couple days.

same thing happened to me and i got on the shot right after cause i wasnt trying to have another yet . ( i knew me and my kids dad wouldnt stay together, he was abusive and 10 yrs older then me) i then only got the shot 2 times and exactly a year later ( from the day i found out i miscarried) i found out i was preggo. but without waiting im sure it can happen the first normal cycle after the D&C!
