Is there free daycare offered in Detroit, MI?

I am trying to find daycare for my son but DHS denied to help with child care. I was wondering if there is such a thing as free daycare services or a place that will help with daycare other then DHS?

why were you denied?

i've never heard of free daycare unless it was some sort of assistance program.

Maybe look around at local churches?

I would be nervous how well the care would be with free daycare.

I work at a church daycare. It's not free lol

I would say if you don't get govt assistance then no, there is no free daycare. And if there is, don't go there because they aren't insured.

I would look into some churchs, some have very low cost.And see if you have head start where you are, thats free

It is very expensive. I also pay for my son's preschool tuition at the same place and it's costing me over 1k for the year =/

The only reason I get free care for my kids is because I work there.

Eh my stepdaughter's mom is Mormon and she goes to one there for free. I know nothing of churches I'm atheist lol

1k a year for preschool is cheaaaap lol

my kids went to a daycare at a catholic church and it was about $300/week for both of them. that was the average of all the daycares in the area.

NO Smurf!!! I pay $700 a month for pre school =(

With my income it's expensive lol. Honestly I don't even know where any other pre-school programs are around here other then head start which is free.

I'm in the metro Detroit area
