We want to send our boys to a Waldorf private school and yikes it's like 15k a year for one kid lol

Our "pre"preschool was 550 a month for 2 days a week and he will be 3 in January and the price only goes up hah

ahhh guess I am lucky to pay what I pay lol. It's an excellent program especially compared to the Montessori schools around here. In fact two of my co-workers came from one and they teach the exact same program.

1k for the year??? That's not bad at all.....I pay 2k a month for my children, it's basically $250 a week per child

Yikes   that's sad. It's good though you're able to swing preschool

This whole area is just smurffy. We use to live in a much better neighborhood but had to move because my SO lost his job. The way things are around here I am seriously considering moving back just so the boys can have a great education.

Weird. Prices generally go down the older they get.

"Pre"preschool is only 2 days a week he will go 4 or 5 (depending on what we choose) when he turns 3

I know, I was just about to say....the school I am looking at is like $1110 a month. LOL.

Are you working or going to school (or want to) so that you NEED childcare? Do you qualify for WIC or Food Stamps? If so, you should qualify for at least reduced fee childcare. If you have a job or are registered at school, did you submit that info? That just doesn't make sense!

You can ask the intermediate school district to have the baby evaluated for special needs (and they CAN do that), and if he qualifies, then they make an IEP and she should qualify for care through the school district.
