Heat and pregnancy

posted 25th Nov
I am going on vacation to Florida on Dec 22nd for about 10 days and I'm concerned: will the heat be too much on my body? Can I lay out on the beach? (I am pregnant, lol).

How is the weather at the end of December in Florida?? I've never been!

I was pregnant all through June, July, August and September. I survived. Just stay hydrated.

I've never been there, but I'm sure it's not as hot as it would be in the summer. Heat is fine, just stay hydrated, use sun protection.

I'm just kind of incorporating it with being in a tanning bed... I figured if you can't use tanning beds, you shouldn't be able to be in the heat like that.... but I guess I'm just crazy lol

Sunlight is natural. Tanning beds are not. Just don't overdo it.

We went at the beginning of August and it was hot. I have always been pregnant through the summer though and it doesn't bother me much. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids.

The weather there in September isn't too bad, so I imagine December..It's pretty pleasant.

You'll be fine, though. I was pregnant through the horrible days of Summer this year. Stay hydrated, if you feel yourself overheating sit down, rest in the shade, etc.

Depends on where you go. Its cooler in Dec in the Daytona/Orlando area, but the further south you go the warmer it will be

It's 54 here now. Probably too cold for the beach unless your used to cool weather. Lol. But I'm pretty sure it's going to be warming up again in a few days.

i was living in florida until i was 20 weeks pregnant and i stayed inside because the heat was just too much to take. i used to be able to spend the entire day in the disney parks and that changed to only two hours with frequent breaks and it was still too much.

lucky for you, florida does get pretty cold in december but the days CAN be warm, but NOWHERE near as hot as summer. you will be a-ok

are you planning on going to disney? i have so many tips if you need them, i used to work there and spent many days there
