Neverending BH?

posted 25th Nov
So since about 11 PM on Thursday I've been getting contractions 10 minutes apart. They aren't painful and feel like BH - they just come every 10 minutes.
Well, for the last 15 minutes it feels like a neverendng BH. It'll let up for a few seconds and then my entire stomach tightens again. I'm guessing it has him fairly uncomfortable, too, since he's wiggling a ton. It's getting really annoying and I can't concentrate on what I'm reading.
Could this be a sign of things speeding up? Should I be worried or anything?

If they are less than three minutes apart and you're having a hospital birth, I would go get checked.

That was my thought, too, but I called my OB and she's was more or less like, "Meh, sounds normal. Come in if it actually turns into something." I trust her judgement, but she was also like half asleep (which makes sense with it being 4 AM and all). I'm going nuts, though, I can't concentrate on anything and it has my back hurting, too.

I would go anyway if they don't stop. Some people can present in full on labor with relatively painless contractions. Also, my BH contractions never presented with back pain. So that could possibly be a sign you could be in labor. Not entirely sure on that one.
Good luck.

Thanks. I've been toying with the idea of going in since Thursday night but since it's now early Sunday and nothing has come of it yet, I guess I feel like this probably isn't anything, either. I'll probably hold off for another two hours or so just because 4 AM seems so unreasonable a time. I'd like to sleep but don't know if I could.

If its bothering you that much and they're close together you should just go. They'll monitor you for a while and check you.
