Blessed

I would just have to say how blessed i am to have received everything i have. I have not bought anything for my son yet and this is what i have so far
1. Crib
2. cradle
3. pack and play
4. stroller
5. 2 car seats
6. bath tub
7. bassinet
8. 2 swings
9. 3 boxes of clothes and blankets
10. a box of 109 newborn diapers
11. a few toys
12. a front carrier
and still have people wanting to give me things <3

Wow, nice! What are you going to do with all that stuff?! Are the carseats used?

Thats all well and good, but are you going to buy anything for your own child?

Your lucky. I never got given a single thing for my son, at eighteen I bought it all myself but I wanted to and man was he spoilt. This time I'm having a girl and I have had a few clothes given to me, that's about it.

Both car seats are used but in almost perfect condition. I think i will put the crib at my grannys house since she will be keeping the baby whenever i need and the cradle in the living room since he will be sleeping in the bassinet and one of the car seats will be in my moms car. i know its a lot of stuff but i guess i would rather be over prepared than not prepared enough!

If I were you, I would get the carseats inspected and make sure they're not expired. You never can be too careful.

With our oldest, we didn't have to buy anything until she was 4 months old, and it helped us out substantially!

I am definitely going to buy things for my OWN child. But working full time and going to college and paying my car payment and insurance and phone bill and having to do some car repairs i haven't been able to. I want my car to be safe for my child to ride in. After the holidays yes i plan on going crazy, i just found out i was having a little boy and was waiting. I did but winnie the pooh decals for his room however. I just feel really blessed for all the friend and family i have helping me <3

You are very blessed. Have you been saving back some money? Babies are expensive and it's hard to juggle work and school, but think about this... if you didn't have all of this help, how would you be getting baby items? You'd find a way and you'll find a way. Good luck.

I am taking next semester off from school and then going to take 2 online classes next summer. I am going to continue to work full time. I have a lot of help from my family but i am not looking to just pawn my child off on them because he is mine and i need to take care of him. I am also on medicaid which will pay for childcare for a little while if i need it

I have been saving back money. and so has the father. I know i would make it without the help but just so thankful for the help. Thank you!

I didn't know Medicaid paid for childcare...
I thought that was NCI... which sometimes requires you to be on a waiting list.
Just saying, not giving you a hard time or anything.

thats great!!! with my 1st i didn't have to buy anything for the 1st 12 months... I had everything he needed and more... all i had to buy was bottles, diapers and a few out fits... it definitely was a blessing since you had so much other stuff to take care of!!!
