Take a bubble bath?
I had DD 2 weeks ago today, I had 2nd degree tearing and was told before I left the hospital that I should not take a bubble bath or soak in the tub at all, unless I had the drain open and the faucet running the whole time. But I am dying to soak for a bit, just so I can find a way to relax, but they never told me how long I had to wait for.

I think you have to wait 6 weeks, just like for sex.

I believe it is 6 weeks. At least that's what I was told

6 weeks, especially with bubbles. They're known to cause UTI's anyway and you've just had a baby.

When I left the hospital they told me I could take a bath as long as the tub was really clean, i had a tear too. you could always call the nurse at your dr.s office.

I had a tear. The hospital told me after a week baths were okay and would actually feel good.

I don't know about bubble bath but I'm wondering why I was told a warm bath to soak in would help,my stitches to heal and stay clean. I was TOLD to try to soak on warm water 2 times a day from the moment it didn't hurt,to,bend down into, the tub...?

I had a 4th degree rectal tear fun times all around haha!!! And I had baths in espon salts as soon as I got home from the hospital. Or the sitz bath on the toilet too... felt so good and helped with healing especially the epson salts
