I didn't post any   But congrats on her taking it! My first was really hard to get switched over. She didn't like any of the sippys we tried so finally we tried these

The girls are still on them but now they have the ones without handles and the spout is hard.
LO#1 can use a cup but the sippys are for bedtime (she gets water) and for in the car.

BAH, who was it! I was too lazy to go back and read it...   I should do that really fast, LOL.

AH! You're the one who had the trainee cups and told me to just let DD have that for the day, she'd figure it out! It worked like a charm!

I'm glad!!

A lot of things work better for me when I make it so that I don't even have a choice to give her her own way.

I'm gonna have to start limiting her choices I think. >.> I think I give her too much leeway.

As far as what to drink or all around? My DD pretty much has free reign as long as it isn't bad for her safety or health. For drinks she only gets milk or water. We have juice but it takes us a full month to go through the little 1L bottle.

Eh, food and drink speaking. I've been making, every so often, a separate meal for her when she doesn't want what we have, and her pedi told me that was a bad idea. It's just hard sending her to bed hungry when she refuses to eat, which is what the pedi said to do. And I was giving her the straw cup when she'd refuse the trainee cup, thus she wouldn't use the trainee cup.

How old is she?

Unless it's something I KNOW the kids don't like, I don't make anything separate. Like I know they aren't gonna like stuffed peppers because I make them very spicy. Then I'll make them some shells and cheese. But for the most part, if they don't eat what I put in front of them, that's it. Until they can make their own food, they get what I'm making them. If they don't eat it, tough smurf.

With DS, DH used to have a really hard time sending him to bed hungry. I told him that they make up for it in the morning by eating 3 pieces of toast so he shouldn't worry. It's not like they are dying from starvation. Lol

She's almost 16 months old. Her pedi told us she's testing us, trying to see if we'll make her separate meals, and that she won't starve herself. I mean usually she'll eat whatever we eat, but she has her days where she's grumpy, and she tantrums, and it's so hard for us to put her to bed with no dinner. I've gotta work on that, I don't want her to think that not eating what we give her for dinner is ok.

I'd never say that to my children, they are smart. Someone who is too dumb and overloads a kids brain with fluid needs to know that they can kill their child. Have you ever seen anyone die of water intoxication? I have. It's not a good thing at all.

Oh and I never report people to Mara... you'd LIKE me to, though wouldn't you? So you can cry "Awwww someones butthurt and ran to Mara!" I'm not like that at all, no little feeble mind on here can bother me like that
