I'll put the "costume PJ's" on the list. Maybe I'll make him some capes from the leftover crafty stuff I have here (I have tons of fabric, a sewing machine, etc). Maybe I'll make him a SuperMan one, a Batman one, and let him wear them with sweats or themed jammies?   I love doing a few handmade or home-tweaked gifts in with all the toys---they usually wind up being the most loved!

I saw a set of 3 costumes in Toys R Us this weekend. It was $25 here. I couldn't find it online though. My 4 year old is getting the leapfrog TAG system. I can't remember exactly how much it was, but it was reasonable. My sister got it for him. It's basically a book reading pen that teaches them how to read. I was really excited about the space (planets, solar system, etc) book because he loves that stuff. They also had chica chica boom boom which is one of their favorites. I've gone through 3 of those books in the past 4.5years. Frequent use by toddlers + paper book = Total destruction in a couple of months.

Alex 'My Giant Busy Box' is a box of crafts that are age appropriate. They have several different boxes. Right now we have the busy box and an alphabet/reading box of crafts. The giant busy box was surprising durable crafts that were easy to do. It was age appropriate for my 2.5 year old and my 4.5 year old.

Well that was pretty snippy of you. I thought in your OP you were justing asking what we were getting for children of that age. I guess I didn't read it correctly probably because I was falling asleep.

And yes, my son for the most part has college paid off. Not that it's your business but there is well over 30k in his college fund at age 3. I also pay my mortgage, my $650 a month in daycare, and on top of my house is actually a brand new roof. So since I am taking care of my family I will spend whatever I want on my son. And we will still continue with our family traditions as well.

Quoting P Pickle Pants:" He have tons of art supplies...but how much did you pay for the Fisher Price digital camera? What's the ... [snip!] ... he takes. He LOVES taking photos of me, but I don't like letting him use my Nikon D90 except in VERY controlled situations."

I actually got it for free!! It was a special deal back in Sept. If you bought the imaginext castle for $50 you get a free fisher price kids tough digital camera! But I believe the camera retails for around $40. Not sure of the details of it. But it had really good reviews.

Another good idea is a tag reader. You could give someone that idea and others the books that go with it! They also have a map thing that goes to the reader. The tag stuff ranges from 10-40.

How old is your LO? Does he like the camera? My son always wants to take mine but I obviously don't want it broken.

He is 4, he did not get it yet...it will be from Santa =) but my god daughter has sane one but pink and she takes it everywhere. They print out the pics and bought her a little princess photo album from dollar store that she stores her printed pics in. She is 4.

Quoting P Pickle Pants:" How much were the Leap Pad and Tag Reader? If I were to put one of those on his list, which would you recommend? Which one costs the least for all the add ons (new games/books/etc)?"

The leap pad is like 99.99... The tag reader was like 35 bucks, i think? The games for the leap pad are like 12 - 20 dollars depending on what? The books for the tag reader are like 9-15 dollars? I bought all of this black friday so i don't remember too well. The leap pad seems super cool but, If you are on a tight budget i'd go for the tag reader, it's not that much and the books are fairly cheaper than most of the Leap pad games.

Can I get him the super hero Jammie's? I can't find sutiable Dino PJs anywhere

Also be carefull of any hot wheels tracks that use batteries. We've tried two different sets and they use 4 D batteries and they only last a couple hours   I think the wall ones use gravity. But just a side note.. I still have to hear about Devins fire track we had to return last year!
