Help me labor naturally!

posted 24th Nov
I am 39+3 and I am going to be induced on Tuesday if I don't start laboring naturally by then due to high BP and having too much amniotic fluid.
I am only 1cm dilated but I am short and soft which is hopeful.
I have been having tons and tons of BH's/contractions/period pains, a bit of lower back pain and since my stretch and sweep and my LO is right on my cervix and causing a lot of pain when she moves her head.
The thinking is that I am already in very early very slow labor...
What can I do to maybe help myself progress a bit quicker to if not go in to full blown labor by myself over the next couple of days or just get myself a little more dilated and ready for labor so induction doesn't have to do everything!
I am walking about LOADS and I am currently sat on my birthing ball which is causing a nice amount of contractions and cramping and I'm having sex once a day but is there anything else I can do? Or do I just have to wait and see now?
Thanks ladies.

I was in early labor for almost a week, my doctor had me go for a walk and while walking each time you feel a contraction stop lean forward and rock your hips, its supposed to help move things along.

Get on your knees and lean over something while you rock your hips from side to side. It really does help move things along a little quicker.

Good luck, hope it all goes smoothly for you

Evening prime rose oil will helpS soften your cervix which will help your induction. I was induced with cervidel and I used evening prime rose oil for bout 2 weeks before hand I a swear it helped me have the natural labor I wanted to have.

Relax. I know that sounds weird, but after lots of sex, walking, BH contraction being totally uncomfortable for a few wks, etc. I got the advice from my midwife to take some Tylenol and benadryl and try to get some sleep. Boom worked like a charm. It might not do the trick for you but if you can get a few hrs of good sleep then it's not a total loss. My midwife and several of the nurses my mom works with said that a lot of women just end up just too tried for their body to go into hard labor and/ or progress. My last baby I finally was so tired I asked to get something to help me sleep because I knew it was going to be a long night of contractions etc in the delivery room. They checked my I was 5cm, gave me my shot and boom I was holding my little girl 20mins later. My body just needed to relax. Every woman is different but anything (safe) is worth a shot if you are looking at getting induced. Also keep in mind their are a lot of things women do to try to get labor going and not all are safe and face nothing is going to work if your baby and your body aren't ready.

Evening primrose oil, red raspberry leaf tea, sex walking etc are of course safe.
