35 weeks?

back: story: my cousin lost her twin girls at 23wks this time last year. she's now 35wks with a boy. she went into the hospital 2 days before thanksgiving was a 4. the night before thanksgiving they took her off the meds to stop contractions & said they would just let him come. now she's a 6-7 100% with bludging water bag.

how many people have had their baby at 35wks? did they go to nicu? how long did they have to stay? this is new for me they stopped mine at 34wks & didn't have any more contractions until the day before DD.

My son stayed in NICU only for 10 days. I had a Csection at 35 weeks, but he stopped growing at around 30. He only weighed 3.14 lbs, but he was otherwise completely healthy!

my daughter came out kicking and screaming at 35 weeks 5 days she was little but other than spending sometime under the lights for jaundice she was perfect hopsital regular nursery for 5 days

10 days is better than i was expecting

The general rule of thumb is to *expect* them to stay in the NICU until their due date, but every baby is different.

I had my daughter at 34 weeks. she was completely healthy. She never even left my side. She came home on time with me 2 days later.

I also had my son at 26 weeks & my daughter at 37 also both completely healthy & never with to the nicu. If she was at risk for preterm labor cue to the loss of twins im sure her doctor gave her shots to develop her sons lungs. that is usually something they worry about.

I had my last daughter at 35 weeks and she didn't need any NICU time at all...they just kept an eye on her in the nursery for 24 hours.

I had my daughter at 34 weeks no NICU stay and she came home with me two days later.

these make me eel a little more at ease. i know she went through alot with the girls, now we're just hoping for a healthy boy. thanks ladies

baby Dalton is here 4.5wks early 9:30pm last night 5lbs 2oz not sure about legnth mama gets to leave tomorrow baby has to stay in nicu he's having a really hard time eatting on his own :/ but other than that is a healthy boy

thanks for the update hopefully he adjust to eating quickly  

last night was the 1st time his mom got to hold him other than the 1 skin to skin. they let her keep him out from the lights the whole time she was there (: he's taing more foor &his iv will be out soon. thanks for all the prayers/good thoughts his way. here's his 1st pic
