holiday dinners/parties at your DH's family's without him? His mom's brotger is doing Thanksgiving today and I really do NOT want to go but if I don't I'll get a lecture from FIL.   DH has to work and refuses to get up to help me so I think I'm just going to call and tell them no.

SO works afternoons so I always end up going to these functions without him. I don't mind going, but if i don't go they don't have a problem either.

I haven't ever had to but if I did I probably would want to call and say no but SO would probably make me lol.

yeah I have but he always comes later.

I would go with out him. We have a random relationship though where I don't hate them all.

It would depend on if I liked them or not. If only one person is going to talk to you, I wouldnt go

I did for thanksgiving. SO works out of state, and his family invited me multiple times, and I didn't want to be rude. So K and I went for a little while.

I always go, but I grew up with his family. I was best friends with SIL growing up so his family has been my 2nd family since I was 12.

I would go, but I get along with my inlaws. I'll probably have to go to their christmas eve party and hubby meet me there later when he finishes up with work. I wouldn't do it if I wasn't close to them though.

I'll go without him if he has to work or something. His family is my family too. But I don't know your relationship with your in-laws.
