Why have you not thought of adoption?

I do agree with your family. having another baby right now is only going to worsen your mental state and leave you struggling

I think that if you're in no position to have another child, then you shouldn't.

Adoption is the first thing that I thought of. But I am being made to feel like a bad person for bringing a person into the world and giving them away.

You could always do adoption. You will help out your child and a family that can not have kids.

Giving them away to a couple who could not biologically have children? That's a wonderful thing to do. The parents would be forever grateful.

I'm with your family. I honestly think people who have babies the can't afford or don't want are incredibly selfish. Abortion is not evil, it's a service available to women who are in a bad situation. Youre not a bad person and neither are other women who have needed to use this service in the past. Having another baby right now is only going to worsen your mental state and cause you to be even more dependent on others and less likely to be succesful.

If I were in your position I would not even consider raising another child. Abortion or adoption should be the only options you consider.

Seek counseling. Get yourself help.

Any action to take (even inaction) will hae an impact on your mental health.

Honestly if I would have gotten pregnant a year and a half ago, I would have had an abortion. SO and I weren't in a place where we are now. We were just pretty new then, not knowing how things would go. I wasn't financially stable either.

My mom has had two abortions when she wasn't in a good place with herself or in her relationship. And she has said that she never regretted either one of them.

Adoption sounds like the right choice, the way adoption is now you can pick the parents for your child.

Weekends are kind of slow on here.... There are several women on here who have gone through with adoptions. A few who felt pressured into abortions. And then the rest of us are either pro-choice or have never been in your situation.


If you abort through pressure, you will likely regret it. Adoption is probably harder than abortion because the child is alive and you will always wonder (unless you do an "open adoption"), but IMO, it's your best option. Keeping a child that you cannot afford or are in no position to raise will be the hardest and most emotionally challenging option you can pick.
