So i'm just super curious:
During labor and delivery, did you say any crazy smurf that you either remembered, or were told? Gimme some good stories!  

No I was just whimpering and the dr and nurse kept laughing. Idk if it was embarrassing or cute to them.

I'm an L&D nurse...

right after delivery I was assisting a patient in breast feeding. I explained we have a hospital policy about co-sleeping, that she needed to be awake if baby is in bed with her.

her boyfriend says "oh, that wont' work. That's how I've been helping her fall asleep the last 3 months. by suckling at her breasts. "

ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I only asked for orange juice and chapstick, whispered it actually. I didn't same much else.

I know, I'm lame.

Lol that's funny! You must see some crazy smurf. I am working towards my RN and hope to work in L&D. I didn't really say much but when it came time to push I got him out faster than they thought. When it came time to catch they told me hold on and stop pushing (inpossible) once the doctor got in there he was putting on his gown and said "oh wait would you like a mirror" I was in so much pain I just yelled no all hands on deck he's comin. Lol the nurse had quite the giggle.

Right after delivery the doctor was pulling out the placenta and the epidural was wearing off and I informed everyone in the room that he needed to hurry up because it made me feel like I was taking a huge crap.

When I had my son there was a girl in training....My nurse had went to check me for dilation and the trainee asked if she could "go in" after. I yelled, "No no no, back the smurf up!" /.\ I felt so bad , poor girl just stood there smiling. Of course I apoligized after. lol

I had been feeling contractions all day before I went to L&D and I was like "this is annoying but I can do this"....my water broke and on the way to the hospital the pain started getting more intense...I was trying not to get an epidural but by the time they got me admitted and into a room I had started having a crazy ass case of speaking tongue!...LMAO.. I was sitting indian style, slapping my leg, shaking my head saying "make it stop"....I had about 4 contractions before I finally got the epidural..after that the only thing after that that I had had a problem with is I need oxygen right before I pushed.


My sister was 14 at the time and said that I was extremely scary looking when I was doing my weird knee slap hoodoo crap..lol

Poor DH he was trying to be encouraging I told him to STFU and let me squeeze his hand, let's just say my delivery room was very quiet lol
