re: I said WHAT?

with my oldest I had told the dr that I wanted to try to wait on pain meds... but when I wanted them I want them. He agreed... said he'd put it on my chart.

well, in labor.. I asked for pain meds early in the morning (like 5 am) the nruse kept telling me I had to wait until the doctor got there. by 8 am.. as the doc walked in I was screaming that my doctor was a liar. : D

he was PISSED. He pulled out the chart and showed me where he had the order in already and it was the nruse who was refusing me meds.

Omg this cracked me up!!!! Hahaha thanks I needed the laugh, I was pumped with so many drugs during my stay at the hospital that my only concern besides my baby was eating taco bell as soon as I could... 0_o I found that odd because I don't even care for taco bell hahahaha

I don't think this is crazy.. but ill leave it up to you guys. my ob broke my water... and my son was soo high up.. that water came FLYId NG out.it soaked my OB.. And got two other nurses wet. my bed was dripping fluid and the floor was wet. The ob just looked at me i said " wow.... that feels much hotter than pee." she laughed ( perhaps she was expecting me to mention the volume or how forceful it came out)

Shortly after my water broke... i needes to be rushed for an emergency c section ( i had complete placenta previa.. no one knew and the placemta and cord were trying to come out of my cervix)

the nurse was preping me.. i annouced " i have to pee" she goes well you cant get out of bed"... " well i gotta pee" she grabbed a puke bucket i climbes over it... and peed in the bucket... me= " im so sorry this is so gross" her= far from the grosses thing i have done today.

My belly was contracting so hard they couldn't find DD's heartbeat at the peak of my contractions. So the nurse had the brilliant idea that at the peak of my contraction to dig the fetal heart monitor into my belly hard enough they could find the heartbeat. Well, the last 2 hours of my labor was like one continuous contraction (thanks, pitocin) that continued to peak so when she started doing that I was like "Please don't do that." She ignored me and did it again so I was like "I said PLEASE don't do that!" She did it a third time so I slapped her hand and threw it off my belly and yelled "I TOLD YOU TO STOP!" ..... she didn't do it anymore after that.

I also didn't want pain medication of any kind so when the contractions were HORRIBLE all everyone kept saying was "You can have an epidural. You can have pain medicine. You can have an epidural." When my Mom said it one time i finally yelled "I KNOW I CAN HAVE AN EPIDURAL! I don't want one so SHUT UP unless you have something helpful to offer!" I felt really bad after I had time to think about it once I didn't feel like I was dying  

With my youngest SO barely made it, I was at 9 and he walked in trying to comfort/ talk to me. I told him to shut up. lol

NO!

where I work... almost all the nurses rock... and I'd trust any of them to care for me in any situation.

I did work at the other place for 6 months.. most of the nruses (and docs) are smurffy. I left crying every day thankful I didn't kill anyone following doctors orders.

SO almost missed ds being born, He went down to "eat" which means sit in the car & smoke cigarettes. Well i called him & said to come back & 10 minutes later i was pushing. Then between contractions i called & started screaming at him that he better not miss it or i would kill him..lol. He walked in right as the head was coming out & i thought he was gonna puke

Yes. When they put me on statol(sp?)
I started saying things like I really would love to have a hound dog because they have big floppy ears & say Oooooo Oooooo Ooooo.

I was determined to get out of the tub and go to the toilet. Begged to do so. I knew it was the baby I was feeling but I didn't care. Loved the waterbirth but if there had been a birth stool in my particular room I bet I would hae ended up on that.

I never cursed in front of my mother until I was in labor and I think she got her fill for the rest of my life. lol Also when the nurse was checking me right before pushing I asked her what the eff would provoke her to do that. Then I yelled at her and was like " you like doing this to people don't you?" I totally apologized to the nurse later because I was being really rude I just couldn't help it. She said it was fine and it happens all the time. I think I got a new found respect for L&d nurses after that because Im sure people are mean to them all the time and they just stand there and take it.

I didnt say anything ceazy but with DS my dad walked in as they were cleaning me up and with LO he walked in as they were putting my legs up. With LO I almost pulled someone up to my face and told them that I had to push NOW! I was doing everything I could to NOT push because the doctor wasn't there yet and when she got there it felt like it took her FOREVER to get ready.

I was a cusser. I strung together every explitive I could possibly come up with and hurled them at everyone. It was to the point that the anesthesiologist was waiting outside of my room until I caved and asked for him.

I cussed him out so hard. Then I felt really bad and promised on my life I'd name my next child after him... His name is Ed.

I'm having a girl.
