Quoting Ms.Eagles:" LO spits out a lot of dadadada's, and every now and then a Mummum...but he's mostly just babbling, so ... [snip!] ... babbling, so I don't think he really knows what he's saying...but so far, it sounds like Dad will be his first word   damn"

She doesn't say anything yet, just babbles like, "goooga", "nahh" "yahhh" lol. and screams, cries. that's about it.
I assume dada will be the first word she says, but i can still be hopeful. I'll be excited either way...

When our babies get bigger, they will realize who is with them 24/7, and who is feeding them, playing with them all the time, etc.

It upsets me, but I know some babies who are ADDICTED to being with their mothers, and the mothers can't ever catch a break. I think that'd drive me up a wall. My SIL's son is two and is like that still.

I hope it blows over!!!!

I hope it blows over, too....I mean, I don't want him to be addicted to me to the point where I never get a break, but I at least want to be able to put my child to sleep at night. Some nights it can take over 2 hours of screaming and crying before he falls asleep (when SO is working) and when SO is home, and I'm struggling for a while, he just comes in, picks him up and he's quiet. I can't wait until we get transferred out of here (approx. 13 more months!) and we live in a better community, I'll have my car out of storage, I'll be closer to my family and friends, and life will be so much easier. Being up here is killing me.

my son was like that to but if you get a whole days rest and a break from your baby... and have a fresh start with him he'll miss you and you wont be as tired ... if your tired he feels it so he wont be comfortable in your arms .... if your irritated he gets irritated try that i promise it will work

My girls do that too! They love it when their dad gets home and smile and coo at him even if they were just screaming at me! It can def be frustrating!! I try and put myself in their position. Usually they are getting fussy towards the end of the day and are likely bored because I am out of energy and am not as entertaining as earlier in the day. If I remember that, I can get a boost of energy and change things up. That usually makes them happy playing a new game or changing the scenery for them.
