I'm 3 weeks pp & have stopped bleeding, & really wanna have sex but was/am nervous about it hurting or rippin a stitch out... but damn, you made me not wanna have sex for a long ass time now lmao

but im pretty sure they say 6 weeks just to be safe, but 4 weeks is okay. My doc said if yu're gonna have sex early, atleast wait till youre 4 weeks because it takes 4 weeks for the stitches to dissolve/heal, so im thinking they just say 6 weeks becuz thats when you go back to see them & its to be safer than sorry.

Bath shouldn't be risky...I guess it's possible - but you flow outward (as in bood/discaharge/etc). Sex is a different deal - that is putting something IN there. They ahve you do sits baths right after delivery here & I was told I coudl go righ tinto the tub once home due to the "flow" - he just said NOTHING going in. I tore through my behind - I NEEDED to soak. LOL

Doctor told me not to. I did it anyway i needed to soak. It was really the only thing that helped me. lol .

i don't know how any of you are having sex 2 weeks pp or less you are freakin crazy, i'm 5 weeks pp & don't even want to try to i'm scared i will rip or something and it will hurt & no infection for me especially not another baby lol.

I waited 4 weeks and had sex with my stitches in oops. Didn't realize it until after when I looked in the mirror.

I didn't wait the 6 weeks. We started back after 1 week. I wasn't cut during L&D my daughter's head was small enough to not even rip! I was more than ready to start back and I have to say, it was awesome...way better than before. I'm horrible I know. hahaha

Had stithes with my first, we waited 3 weeks. Didn't have stitches with second, did it at 3 weeks. It's been 3 1/2 weeks this third time and I am still spotting so we haven't tried... Poor hubby is going nuts haha. Me, I am like "I hope I bleed longer as I would rather sleep!"
