Legal sex issues?

Hi. I'm 15 and pregnant, my boyfriend is 19.. I'm worried that we'll have problems when the baby is born.. noted, I turn 16 BEFORE I'm suppose to give birth, and also, my friend was 14 when she got pregnant and turned 15 when gave birth, but her boyfriend was 18 when she got pregnant and turned 19 whenever she gave birth. I'm just really worried about him getting in trouble. Any help? I live in Florida.

I've known cases where the hospital has called the police and reported it.

He could definitely get in trouble, because the baby is proof of statutory rape.

If your parents don't automatically press charges, he might still get in trouble for having sex with a minor. Not sure if he'll be able to put his name on the BC or not (without that putting him in danger of being in trouble).

You had sex to make the baby. That sex was illegal. Simple concept.

That's gross. All it will take for him to get into trouble is for someone to report it. Don't put his name on the bc and be careful who you piss off cause if you piss off the wrong person they may take it upon themselves to report him.

as long as your parents dont press charges you should be fine. i was 15 and SO was 18, he was abel to sign the BC and everything but i did have a social worker talk to me after i gave birth.

Technically don't they have to tell the authorities because it is child abuse or whatever?

If your boyfriend is standing by you and is invested in you and your babies life, that is great. I would hope he is a stand up guy and won't be charged with stat rape. Because how is he going to support a baby behind bars?
