Quoting It's Delivered:" Marketing. I do a lot of public relations type. Apperance is everything in my job. I can afford it, ... [snip!] ... just like them. Purses have never been my thing though. I have been looking for a good plain brown leather type that will last."
I was director of marketing and advertising before I became a mom. It was not required for me to wear certain brand names of clothes. Even though I could and still can more than afford them, there are other alternatives to paying for a brand. lol I got the majority of my clothes at dillards or boutiques. Now, I am a SAHM and honestly, I am lucky to do anything with my hair besides pull it back most days. I am always running after kids. Not that I am complaining. I love this job much more! lol Longer hours though. Sometimes I would give anything to working 60wrk weeks and flying all over to clients and such. Just for the thrill of the closed deal and even the stress of the deadlines. Then, I remember that I can always go back to my career, I can never do this over. I was not "young" by BG standards when I had my twins or my son. I was 29 with the girls and 31 with him. I struggled for many years before I finally got lucky
. Now I live vicariously thru my former colleauges.
You can find a good brown leather one this season. Well, they will be likely on clearance right now. The fall is typically when the browns come out. The best leather purse I have ever had was actually a Fossil. I couldn't believe how well it held up for the price. It was relatively cheap. $130 was it. I used it as a purse/ diaper bag with my twins. the girls are 4. I still carry it from time to time. It is larger than I like to carry usually but it has great dividers and two outside pockets that I can slid a water bottle or sippy cup in. I got that one at dillards but found several more that I like the look of better online at fossil.com It just amazed me how well it held up compared to my DB and how much less it cost. That one was shot to smurf in a matter of a few months. Then again, it was cloth.
