Getting the catheter out is not fun! I will recommend that if you decide to get an epi you wait as long as possible. You never know if you can really just make it through. And once you get it, you can't walk to help progress labor or anything. You are flat on your back which is not the natural way to labor and birth. Try a bath. It helped me. I did get an epi. Spinals are for c-section so you are completely numb and can't push. You might avoid the catheter by waiting till the end to get the epi. Means less time to have to pee... But im not sure.

yea i think her mentality was start at midnight by the time she got in he'd be ready to come out but I ended up having him at 5:33pm! So she was about ready to go home lol

Oh man, that would suck. I hope little man cooperates. I was fully dilated by noon with K but she was stuck on my pelvic bone so she wasn't born until 4:26

yea i was fully dialated for a few hrs, I just couldnt get him out! my doctor feel over 3 times trying to get him out and kept saying were gonna need to go to the OR! And finally she goes ok, last chance, otherwise we're going for an emergency c section, we counted til 30 that time, she cut me up and I felt my hips dislocate a little, BUT he finally came out lol

I got the same speach "we'll try the vacuum, if that doesn't work, you're going in for a c-section" so she put the vac on her and pulled a little while a pushed and she was out in 3 pushes

thats awesome, milo was vacuumed 3 times lol, he was way stuck, I felt so bad, his little head was all scrapped up and was scabbed for a few weeks afterwards! but he doesnt remember now lol he's 2.5 now and doesnt remember a thing!

Right? I was prepared for much worse. It was like nothing, my bh worn this one are almost as strong.

I didn't think they were that bad either, but I guess everyone handles pain differently. I was 9 1/2 cm before I got my epi

I loved my epidural! got a cath right after it kicked in so i was numb, you can tell them you want it after. and i think the comfort of not having to get up and pee every 20 mins was just as comforting as the Epi! lol!
