I feel so cheated lol I was on pitocin for 8 hrs and it did nothing for me! Then they broke my water and it was on!

I never had any non pitocin contractions so I have nothing to compare to, but I was expecting wayyyy worse from what I read on here.

They broke my water after being on the pitocin for less than 2 hours. Wonder why they waited?

they broke my water before they gave me pitocin . i was on that smurf for 17 hrs. the contractions were the worst thing in the world. once i got my spinal block for my c-section i was in freaken heavennn

I had epis with all three of my kids, and with the first two, they did the balloon catheter(the one that stays in), but with my 3rd, she did the quick one because I was progressing extremely fast, even with the epi.

I'm not sure if you "have" to have one but I think it's highly encouraged?? I can't remember. I just did whatever the hell they told me to with Landon's labor lol I was 18 & had no clue of anything!

At my best friend's second birth they didn't give her one. She had a midwife though, but in a regular hospital setting. She didn't pee herself either.

I had a midnight induction (not cool) so I think they just waited til the doctor came in the morning to do it.

I told my doctor no pitocin this time, just because it was useless to me and I dont wanna mess with it! Breaking my water sent me straight into labor so if anyone wants her out, they can break my water and she'll come rushing out!

Ohhhh that make sense, my drip was started about 6am and OB came in about 8am.
