Renting an apartment in a complex

How long did it take you to get approved? We dropped our paperwork off on Monday and the lady said it typically takes two days to hear something. I'm assuming with the holiday this week that's what is holding it up but I just wanna knoooo already so I can stop stressin it!!

I heard back in like, 10 minutes. But it was a really large complex (like, they owned 10 different complexes so they're a HUGE company) and they do approvals right away.

30 minutes why would it take two days??

I guess they said a few days because there was so much paperwork they needed to go through, references to call, etc.

And they needed to do credit checks and whatnot on both my SO and I.

It took 20 minutes when we moved into a complex. Two days seems like a long time.

OT: but I HATED living in an apartment complex.

While we Sat there in the office.

they never did a credit check on me i filled out like 2 papers and signed the lease

We had to do a credit check and background check and they did it while we waited.

I think two to three days was the longest we waited, but I'm sure the holiday this week has them delayed.

It took a week, but we have a really smurffy apartment manager and the apartments themselves are pretty smurffy for what we pay. Beware, sometimes them taking forever to get back to you means they're pretty lazy when it comes to other smurf too, like maintenance.

i dont know what our landlord did and checked out but we knew after 2 days that he would rent to us

I agree completely! It took a week for them to get back to us, they are so lazy about repairs and whatnot and the place has become a dump because they aren't cleaning the common areas very often anymore.

Call them back on Monday morning. They should have answer for you by then.
