It's probably better that you're broken up. If it's stressful now, having a crying newborn will make it like 50 billion times worse. Stress and babies aren't a good combination.

I'm sorry but to me it sounds like he's having and emotional if not physical affair with his client

His client is a 34 year old quadriplegic man.

He's using his client as a buffer to not have to face me, nothing more. I understand their friendship, I developed something similar with a client I used to have. We work in the same field for different companies.
