This is why I'm scared. He has never not told me where he was if he wasn't where I expected him to be, even when he was pissed off at me. That's just common decency :/

Yeah, and he said ok. Then we didn't talk again until about an hr after he should have been home when I asked where he was, then I called a half hr after that and his phone was off. I don't know at what time his phone either died or was turned off, sometime between 9 and 12:30.

I don't know. I've never dealt with depression so I don't even know what to look for kwim? Somethings been off but it could be a million things and he won't talk to me.

what do you mean exactly when you say he "works through" his split shifts? how much free time is there in between those shifts?

A few yrs ago SO got arrested and I couldn't get ahold of him. He jjust never came home. I was awake all night crying and freaking out thinking all kinds of crazy things like he was hurt or dead. I called all the police stations and hospitals and couldn't find him anywhere.
He was arrested around 10pm and they didn't let him have his phone call until like 6am the next morning. Apparently he "wasn't in the system" yet which is why they didn't tell me he was there.
By that time I had already gotten a ride from a friend and was out searching for my car/ him.
It was extremely scary, so I totally know how you feel! I hope everything is ok and you two can talk things out. From what you have said here and there though I definitely agree with you having a few days apart once everything gets settled.
Him being arrested would probably be best case scenario right now. Then at least he wouldn't be screwing you around and he wouldnt be hurt...
