Neutral nursery was a great idea until...

posted 23rd Nov
It was finished... I live in my parents house, that making it baby's grandparents. I am one of 8 children so I am expected to NOT be the only one to bless my parents with a grandchild, and because of that my step father perferred that the nursery was done in neutral colors. Basically I had yellow or green to choose from and I HATE green. In the beginning my step father wouldn't budge for pink or purple or anything for just girl. So I went with yellow and accented with light and dark blue, a twinkle twinkle little star theme really, and it all sounded great and matched well, but now that it's done it looks completely like a little boys room... *face palm*. Just really unfortunate is all, not sure how to make it girly with picture frames and such.

There are so many more ways to do neutral. I would have done tan or brown my sons set was brown tan and blue and his room was very simple. Then I had his name up in wooden letters that were brown with blue and tan designs and we did one blue stripe across the wall.

I'm not big on girly stuff, so I went with winnie the pooh.

Maybe add some glittery stars that can be removed?

I've been planning to do her name in an arch on the wall abve her crib, but obviously her crib will be away from the wall incase the letters fall for some reason. Safety precautions, haha.

There are so many ways to do gender neutral, I personally love these but there are so many options out there.

Of course I couldn't find anything like that when I looked :/ Those are so nice! Too late now, due in 7 days and the room has been decided. I'll have to deal

You could add some pom pom in coordinating colors also, they make everything look girly.

I would go to Hobby Lobby or whatever craft store you have, and just browse around. You're bound to find little things you can add to make it girly. Maybe make some bows with those colors.

I'm almost positive there is one around here, and a Hobby Town USA, and a Pat Catan's, and Hollow's. So I'll have to take a look around.

Your baby will not know or care what her room looks like! Someday when she is older and you have a place of your own you can girly it up like crazy if you wish and she wishes!
