Round Ligament Pain or Real Labor Pains? HELP!
posted 23rd Nov
Hello Ladies! So today happens to be the mark of me being 38 weeks pregnant. Not much longer to go! But I have to ask. I NEVER felt any of these pains with my first pregnancy, so I am clueless & I have been feeling BH contractions. But never felt real labor pains with my first. Sounds weird. I know.
But since the night before Thanksgiving I was having sharp, stabbing pains... it's right between my belly & my thigh on my on left side. Now the doctor keeps telling me it could be round ligament pain. But I heard that round ligament is a sudden sharp pain and that's it, then it goes away. This is completely constant! It hurts when I walk, when I sit, when I move, when I'm sleeping, when I turn. I'm not sure what in experiencing. When I walk or move around on the bed... it feels like something is grinding against something else in that area. Like a bone grinding against another. It's so excruciating, I'm in tears... literally! I don't know what else to do, so I thought I'd ask other moms who ever experienced this kind of pain and knew what it was. Please, ANY advice would help. Thanks!

Sounds like ligament pain to me. Swtimes they don't just stop after a few seconds. There been a few times that it's last most Of a day for me.

No that sounds like RL pain. RL pains can stick around they don't always go away quickly

Sounds like RL pain to me... I started having it around 27 weeks and it lasted until I delivered at 42 with my first. Contractions will be all over your body and come and go. Try to find a comfortable position to rest in while you can. I would say get a maternity girdle, but since you're already so close it may not be worth the pain. =/ Sorry mama, I know it sucks but you're almost there!
