Christmas for a 13 y o?

She gave me a list. Some of the things are things I know she will use once/not at all. I'm wondering about a particular substitute though. She asked for this-

But the thing is, she does NOT play with dolls. I don't want to put tons of money into the extra packs and stuff, and without them it seems...Boring. I found this though-

It's a similar idea, but I could see her actually putting them on her backpack, purse, or whatever, you know? Which would you get?

Your gonna break her heart. I girl doesn't want a substitute, she wants what she wants. Im still only 19 so I went through that phase not to long ago. Give the girl a choice between money and gifts. Once I hit 13 my mom gave me the choice of money or christmas presents and it's the smartest thing she's ever done. I picked money so from then on she'd give me 300$ every X-Mas and I could get what I wanted (plus she got me little gifts cuz she loved getting me them lol) But show her the second picture as well. She might like putting the dolls with the clip on her back-pack or something.

That seems so young for a 13 year old. Lol when I was that age I wanted money...and more money. I'm a greedy bitch

Knowing my SO's sister who is 13..she is REALLY into clothes, makeup..stuff like that..music, young teenage girl stuff.

I got my belly button for my 15th, lol.
My brother got his lip for his 15th.

I got my belly button pierced for my 15th birthday and my toungue pierced for my 16th birthday. I am glad my mom let me express myself at a young age.

Yeah, she always asks for things below her age group... I don't want to say no because she didn't get much of a childhood, and I don't mind her staying "young" a while longer, you know? She's lived with us for 2 years now and I'm trying to give her better than she had, but I really only use her list for ideas. And I did ask her, she does like the smaller things better. She may not even get it. I'm looking through her list and getting prices for things that she wants and then we'll make our final decisions.

Her list also includes a lot of art supplies, things for crafts (material and stuff, she likes to sew) books, make-up, nail polish, clothes and those sort of things.
